Rumours about the move have circulated for months. It could be called « Best, Worst Kept Secret ». Charles and Camilla, fellow Brits, are also in the running for this title. Peaty will be joining the Santa Cruz Syndicate’s powerhouse squad to help achieve world recognition in gravity. Peat will be supported by the Syndicate alliance for the next three seasons as the 2-time UCI World Cup Downhill Champion goes on his royal reign.
Peaty says, « I’m excited to be able ride the Santa Cruz range bikes, especially V-10. I will be able to concentrate 100% on my racing with the support of a professional race organization like the Santa Cruz Syndicate. In the new year, you can expect me to ride a Santa Cruz! ?
Rob Roskopp, the owner of Santa Cruz Bicycles, says that he is excited to have Steve join the Syndicate. I wanted to build a group of talented, powerful riders and personalities. Steve’s addition will enhance the program. Steve’s amazing bike handling and the V-10 combination will result in many wins. Steve’s racing experience will be a great asset to the future development of Santa Cruz products. ?
Peat will compete in 4X and downhill events worldwide, which include the UCI World Cup Series and British National Championships as well as select events in Europe or North America.
