America’s top athletes battled it out in Sonoma, CA at the U.S. Nationals. However, Justin Leov and Jared Graves invaded Colorado. These Yeti speedsters were born in Colorado so it was only natural that they would be representing Colorado at the Colorado State Championships. The 5th Mountain States Cup Series race was the Blast the Mass at Snowmass Village.
Graves is 2005 National Mountain Bike Series Downhill Champion and Mountaincross Champion. Leov is 2003 New Zealand National Champ.

Mountaincross is a long and fast course with many jumps, great berms, and useful passing lines. Graves was the only one who could pass Graves. The NMBS Champ took every gate and led every heat from start to finish. Ross Milan, a local hero and part-time Yeti Fox racer, was right there on Graves’s wheel to win the state title.
Snowmass’ downhill runs wide, open ski runs and zips through tree sections at lightning speed. The pro men were moving at speeds of over 64 km/h. Graves finished second in 0.24 seconds to Chris Del Bosco of Vail. Justin Leov was 0.51 seconds slower than Graves to finish third.
